Cancellations & Returns

At Power Generator Depot, we are committed to providing reliable power equipment, transparent communication, and professional customer support. Due to the nature of industrial power equipment, custom configurations, freight logistics, supplier schedules, and manufacturer lead times, all sales are subject to the following Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

ALL SALES FINAL

All generator sales are considered final upon order placement unless otherwise approved in writing by Power Generator Depot.

Power Generator Depot does not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for:

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Changes in project scope or timeline

  • Installation delays

  • Utility approval delays

  • Permit delays

  • Financing issues

  • Customer scheduling conflicts

  • Freight carrier delays

  • Supply chain disruptions

  • Manufacturing delays

  • Acts of God or circumstances beyond our control

Our products are backed by manufacturer and/or Power Generator Depot warranty support for qualifying defects, workmanship issues, and covered failures.

Order Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled if approved in writing by Power Generator Depot.

Approved cancellations may be subject to:

  • Administrative fees

  • Payment processing fees

  • Supplier penalties

  • Restocking fees

  • Freight charges

  • Production allocation costs

Cancellation fees may range from 10% to 35% of the total order value depending on the stage of fulfillment.

Special Order / Custom Equipment

The following items are considered special-order and are non-cancellable and non-refundable once production, sourcing, allocation, or preparation has begun:

  • Custom voltage configurations

  • Custom enclosures

  • Modified generators

  • Special-order ATS systems

  • Non-stock units

  • Factory-allocated inventory

  • Personalized or customized products

Lead Times & Delivery Estimates

Any quoted lead times or delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless explicitly confirmed in writing by an authorized representative of Power Generator Depot.

Power Generator Depot shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Manufacturing schedules

  • Supplier shortages

  • Port congestion

  • Freight carriers

  • Weather events

  • Customs delays

  • Labor shortages

  • Supply chain disruptions

  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

Delivery delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, partial refund, chargeback, consequential damages, or compensation claims.

Damages, Defects & Incorrect Items

Customers must inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery.

If an item arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Defective

  • Incomplete

  • Incorrect

the customer must notify Power Generator Depot within:

  • 48 hours for freight damage

  • 7 calendar days for visible defects or missing items

Claims submitted outside these windows may be denied.

Where applicable, qualifying issues will be resolved through:

  • Replacement parts

  • Technical support

  • Repair services

  • Manufacturer warranty procedures

  • Replacement at Power Generator Depot’s discretion

Returns

Returns are accepted only when:

  1. The return is caused solely by an error made by Power Generator Depot, and

  2. The return has been approved in writing prior to shipment back to us.

Approved return items must:

  • Be unused

  • Be uninstalled

  • Be in original packaging

  • Include proof of purchase

  • Be received in resellable condition

Items returned without prior written authorization will not be accepted.

Customer is responsible for all return freight costs unless otherwise approved in writing.

Refused Shipments

Customers who refuse delivery of completed orders without prior written authorization may remain responsible for:

  • Round-trip freight charges

  • Storage fees

  • Restocking fees

  • Supplier penalties

  • Administrative costs

Exchanges

Exchanges are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Power Generator Depot.

Warranty Support

Power Generator Depot products are supported by manufacturer and/or company warranty programs covering qualifying defects and failures under normal use conditions.

Warranty coverage does not include:

  • Improper installation

  • Improper maintenance

  • Fuel contamination

  • Misuse or abuse

  • Unauthorized modifications

  • Environmental damage

  • Customer negligence

  • Normal wear and tear

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers agree to contact Power Generator Depot directly to attempt resolution before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback.

Initiating a chargeback for equipment that has been delivered, accepted, installed, used, or contractually fulfilled without valid legal basis may constitute breach of contract and may result in collection activity and recovery efforts where permitted by law.

Refunds

Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the discretion of Power Generator Depot.

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds may be reduced by applicable fees, freight costs, supplier penalties, and processing charges.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method only.

  • Approved refunds are generally processed within approximately 10–30 business days depending on banking institutions, supplier processing timelines, and transaction type.

  • Certain special-order, factory-order, or international transactions may require additional processing time.

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

For orders shipped into the European Union, customers may have rights under applicable consumer protection laws allowing cancellation within 14 days.

Returned items must:

  • Be unused

  • Be uninstalled

  • Be in original packaging

  • Include proof of purchase

  • Be returned in resellable condition

Customer may remain responsible for freight and associated return costs where permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Power Generator Depot shall not be liable for any:

  • Lost profits

  • Business interruption

  • Consequential damages

  • Incidental damages

  • Rental expenses

  • Fuel costs

  • Downtime

  • Delayed project costs

  • Loss of use

  • Loss of revenue

  • Labor costs

  • Third-party contractor expenses arising from or related to:

  • Delivery delays

  • Manufacturing delays

  • Installation delays

  • Freight or transportation issues

  • Equipment availability

  • Supply chain interruptions

  • Product performance

  • Warranty claims

  • Service delays

  • Customer misuse or improper installation

In all circumstances, Power Generator Depot’s maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting payment for an order, customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to:

  • These Return, Cancellation & Refund Policies

  • Warranty terms

  • Lead time estimates

  • Freight and delivery terms

  • Any applicable quote, invoice, or sales agreement terms provided by Power Generator Depot

Customer further acknowledges that all lead times are estimates unless otherwise agreed to in writing and that warranty remedies are the primary resolution method for qualifying product-related issues.
